It all started with the Angry Bald Guy -- Carl.  His hairline started retreating while in his mid-teens; that would make you angry, too.  He apparently comes from a long line of sociopaths, and that combined with his hair loss would explain his attitude.

The other side of the coin is Pete; his hair used to be quite long but the daily upkeep took a toll on him so now he wears it short.  He used to work at a mall store selling computers, which is where he met Carl 15 years ago.  It's been all downhill since then.

At one time, Carl had access to lots of free midnight movie passes.  Pete was a leech at heart and can't pass up a freebie, so this is what is often termed "synergy."  But it turned out they both dug horror flicks and spent many a weekend renting lame-ass movies from Blockbuster (such is life when you can't find a date).  This, of course, led to Mystery Science Theatre 3000.  But they were also co-dependent with metal music, so they hung out even more.  Carl introduced Pete to many different forms of punk, while Pete reciprocated by addicting Carl to the agony of computers.  You may have heard one of their many incarnations of musical bands (or, more likely, not).  How the hell did they accomplish so much on only weekends?

Their combined experience with music recording, video work, and computer technology eventually led us to where we are today.  But despite that, we still hold hope for the future.  They share a love of music and horror films, a tolerance for computers, and the ability to grow facial hair.  And Pete's married now, but Carl is still his bitch.
